- Purple Beauty Sweet Pepper Seeds - 10 Fresh - The Purple Beauty Bell Pepper is truly a majestic sight! These remarkable four-lobed fruits boast thick walls and undergo a captivating transformation, starting as a dark purple before ripening into a radiant purple-red on robust plants.
- All our seeds are grown on our own Chilli farm in South Wales.
- LIGHT: Light plays a pivotal role in cultivating healthy sweet pepper seedlings. Provide them with 12-16 hours of bright, indirect sunlight daily. If natural light is limited, consider using fluorescent or LED grow lights placed 2-4 inches above the seedlings to prevent elongated growth. Sufficient light ensures proper photosynthesis, allowing the seedlings to develop strong stems and vibrant foliage necessary for productive pepper plants.
- SOIL & NUTRIENTS: Select a well-draining potting mix enriched with compost for your sweet pepper seedlings. These plants thrive with a balanced fertilizer containing essential nutrients. Begin fertilizing two weeks after germination, applying every two weeks thereafter. Maintain a soil pH between 6.0-6.8 to optimize nutrient absorption. Regularly check for any signs of nutrient deficiencies, such as yellowing leaves, and adjust your fertilization regimen accordingly to foster healthy growth.
- WATER: Water management is crucial when growing sweet pepper seedlings. Keep the soil consistently moist, avoiding extremes of overwatering or underwatering. Water at the base of the plants using a gentle stream to minimize the risk of fungal diseases. Adjust your watering routine as the seedlings grow to meet their changing requirements. Proper moisture levels are essential for establishing robust root systems and supporting vigorous growth in sweet pepper seedlings.
