Decoranddecor Electro Brass Sash Mortice Internal Door Lock with Key 64mm | 44.5mm Backset Bedroom Door Locks, 3 Lever Sashlock, Indoor Locks with Keys, Mortise Lock, Steel Lock Set, Wooden Doors(Disclaimer)

Product description

• Measure the backset before you order. The backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the keyhole, and on this 64mm sash lock it is 44.5mm.
• The case is the 2.5 Inch size, so the lock body measures 64mm from the faceplate to the back edge. If the lock you are replacing measures 57mm, order the 3 Inch version instead. A sash lock is a door lock with key that works together with a door handle.
• It holds two bolts in one case: a sprung latch bolt the handle operates so the door closes and stays shut, and a deadbolt the key throws to lock the door.
• The door lock mechanism sits inside a single steel case that mortises into the edge of the door, and that is what separates a sash lock from a plain latch and from a deadlock.
• A 3 lever mortice lock, supplied with keys. Three levers is the normal specification for an internal door lock inside a home. It is not a 5 lever lock and it is not certified to BS3621, so please do not fit it to a front door, a back door or any other door that opens to the outside.
• Fire rated for use on fire doors. The case is Certifire approved under CF 5531 and carries CE 2797, UKCA 0086 and BS EN 12209 marking. The rating depends on the intumescent pad fitted behind the lock case: FD30 with a 1mm pad, or FD60 with a 2mm pad.
• The pad is not supplied with this lock and is bought separately. In the box: the lock body, two keys, the strike plate, the dust box and the fixing screws.
• A bedroom door lock with key, steel cased in an electro brass finish, made for internal wooden doors, so it suits a bedroom, a study or an office door equally well. Check the 44.5mm backset and the 2.5 Inch case size and this mortice door lock will drop straight into the mortice.
